Introduction

From1991to1997,ChinaZengBangzhe(ZengJie)publishedaseriesofpaperson"StructuralTheory-Pan-evolutionTheory",expoundingthestructuralintegrationofbiologicalsystems(integrative)andadjustmentofhomeostasis,Constructivehierarchicaltheory,andtheconceptsofsystemmedicine(1992,1995),systembiologicalengineering(SystemBiologicalEngineering,1994)andsystemgenetics(1994),andcoinedThetermandvocabularyof"systemgenetics"putsforwardthedevelopmentviewofclassical,molecularandsystemgenetics.

Sponsoredthe1stInternationalSymposiumonGeneticallyModifiedAnimalsin1996,whichdiscussedthesystematictheoryofgeneself-organizationandspecificexpression,geneticsandbioengineering,andpublishedin2003and2008onthe19thand20thTheInternationalCongressofGeneticsandthe13thInternationalCongressofBiotechnologyin2008,etc.,usedthevocabularyofstructure,system,andpatterngeneticstodescribesystematicscientificmethods,computermodels,andhigh-throughputbiology.Technologystudiestheresearchfieldof"genotype-expression"complexsystembetweenthegeneticstructureofbiologicalsystemandthemorphologicalschemaofbiologicalsystem,withcellsignaltransductionpathwayandgeneregulationnetworkasthecoretostudycellevolution,celldevelopment,cellpathology,andcellpharmacologyNon-linearsystemdynamicsthatoccurinthecell.

Internationaldevelopment

In2003,Norwegianscientists(previouslycommunicatedwithZengBangzheabouttheconceptofgenetics)calledintegrativegeneticsandestablishedaresearchcenter.In2005,CambienF.andLaurenceT.publishedtheirviewsonsystemgeneticsinarteriosclerosisresearch.MorahanG.,WilliamsRW.wasequivalentto2007(EditedbyBockG.,GoodeJ.)onsystemgenetics.Willbecomethenextgenerationofgeneticsdevelopment.From2005to2008,internationalsystematicgeneticsresearchdevelopedrapidly.EuropeanandAmericancountriesestablishedmanysystematicgeneticsresearchcentersandlaboratories.In2008,theNationalInstitutesofHealth(NIH)establishedaspecialfundforsystematicgeneticsresearchontumors.TheConferenceonIntegrationandSystematicGeneticswasheldinCaliforniainMarch2008,andtheSymposiumonSystematicGeneticswasheldintheNetherlandsinOctober2009.

Methods

Systemgenetics,usingcomputermodeling,systemmathematicalequations,nanohigh-throughputbiotechnology,microfluidicchipexperimentsandothermethodstostudythestructurallogicofthegenome,genomeTheevolutionoffinestructure,thestabilityofthegenome,andthegenerationofbiologicalmorphologicalpatternsoccurinnon-linearsystemdynamicsofcells.

SystemGeneticsanditsapplicationtechnology-SyntheticBiology,includingthedevelopmentoftechnologiessuchasbioreactorsandcellcomputers,followingMendelianclassicalgenetics,WatsonandKlickMoleculargenetics,aswellasgeneticbreeding,cellhybridization,geneticallymodifiedorganismsandothertechnologies,willbecomeanewtrendinthedevelopmentofgeneticsandgeneticengineeringinthe21stcentury.Itwillrevealtheevolutionmechanismofbiologicalsystemsandstudythestructure,functionandevolutionofthegenome.Self-organizingsystem,exploringthecomplexsystemof"genotype-phenotype"fromgenometoorganism,involvingtheregulationofgenesystemssuchasmedicalgeneticsandmedicalpsychology,researchonsignaltransductionnetworks,aswellasfortumors,geneticdiseases,mentalillnesses,aging,etc.Thediagnosisofdiseaseoccurrence,drugscreening,andthepharmaceuticalindustryhaveopenedupnewways.
