SongQiandOuyangXiu,themainauthorsof"NewBookoftheTangDynasty",arefamouswritersoftheNorthernSongDynasty.SongQiandhisbrotherSongXuwereknownasthe"SecondSongDynasty"atthetime.Songpeople's"DongxuanRecords"saidthatSongQiwas"experiencedandabletolearnandpossesstalents";OuyangXiuwasoneofthe"EightMastersofTangandSongDynasties",proseItsspecialty.Ofcoursetheirworkisdifferent.

Innovativestyle

"XinTangShu"wrote"Bingzhi"and"ElectionHistory"forthefirsttime,systematicallydiscussingthemilitarysystemandimperialexaminationsystemoftheTangDynasty,suchasthemilitarysystem.Thisisagreatcreationoftheofficialhistorygenrehistorybooksofourcountry.Ithasbeeninheritedbythe"SongHistory"andothers,andpreservedmanyvaluablehistoricalmaterialsofourcountry'smilitarysystemandemploymentsystem.ThelistsofprimeministersandFangZhenin"XinTangShu"alsoprovidereaderswithacluetotheriseandfalloftheclanofprimeministersintheTangDynasty(familyfamily)andtheebbandflowofthepowerofthevassaltown.
