Development History

Applied Materials started business in China in 1984 and became the first foreign-funded semiconductor production equipment supplier to enter China.

In 2001, Applied Materials established its China regional headquarters in Shanghai. The headquarters of the Chinese company has also been settled in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong, Shanghai.

In 2005, Applied Materials' revenue reached US$7 billion.

In 2006, the company established a global development center in Xi'an.
