Rectified power supply

Power supply process

The process is to transform the AC current into the required current (A) through a rectifier transformer. Take 8000A/30V as an example.

AC 380V enters the rectifier transformer, and the output of the transformer is AC 8000A/30V (because large DC current is needed as electrolysis current in many occasions), so the AC 8000A/30V must be converted into DC 8000A/ 30V. By controlling the conduction angle of the thyristor, the current passing through the thyristor is controlled. Therefore, a rectified power supply rated at 8000A/30V can output a current of 0A-8000A and a voltage of 0V-30V. Its value can be determined according to needs.

Overvoltage protection

Overvoltage protection of rectifier power supply

The application circuit of the device is shown in Figure 1 (a) and (b). Due to power grid voltage fluctuations or man-made power distribution failures, power grids often generate surge overvoltages, threatening the safety of electronic instruments and the rectifier circuits and power transformers of various home appliances. Connect the varistor MY in parallel to the input end of the rectifier diode or power transformer to protect it.
