Bus standard

In order to make computer products a nationwide plug-and-play industrial assembly, the computer industry has developed many industrial standard buses in recent decades. The advantages are obvious: to ensure that peripherals can be connected to any new computer.

Definition:

1. What is a standard:

a. Mechanical structure, size, and pin location;

b, The width of the data line and address line, and the transfer scale;

c, the number of bus master devices;

d. Timing control mode, synchronous, asynchronous, semi-synchronous.

2. Commonly used industrial standard bus

a, PC bus-standard bus IBMPC/-XT 20-bit address line, 8-bit data line; IBMPC-AT bus, EISA 16 Bit;

b, IPI-Intelligent Peripheral Interface intelligent peripheral interface;

c, Small computer system interface (SCSI);

d, PCI bus ( Peripheral componet Interconnect)

It is formulated by the standardization organization or proposed by the industry or large companies, and has become an industry standard.
